Scope of works: Transnet is undertaking a major programme of projects in Cape Town, Saldanha and Postmasburg to upgrade and expand the capacity of their infrastructure. The scope of this project is to sustain the materials handling capacity at Saldanha Port by the addition of a third Tippler. Amandla Construction will be responsible for the Conveyor CV-308 take-up , Conveyor CV-308 counterweight take-up tower, Transfer Tower TT-301, Conveyor CV-309,Conveyor CV-309 take-up, Conveyor CV-309 Counterweight take-up tower, Transfer Tower TT-302 and Conveyor CV-310 civil works. The civil works will include earthworks and layerworks, foundation, concrete plinths, concrete slabs, concrete reinforcement, surface beds and grouting for the abovementioned sections of work.
