Scope of works :This project comprises the upgrading of Boontjieskraal Road situated between Caledon and Villiersdorp in the Western Cape. This road is approximately 7km long and links the N2 with Trunk Road 30.

• Road Building and reinstatement of damaged sections of road.
• Construction of structural gabion retaining walls required to mend slipped road sections.
• The construction of the side drains of which approximately 8km was concrete lined.
• Construction of stormwater pipe crossings across farm access roads.
• Repairs and re-alignment of existing guard rails alongside the installation of new guard rails.
• Realignment and reinstatement of existing fencing.
• Application of roadmarking and roadstuds.
• The installation of new road signage.
• Installation of rumble strips to improve awareness of dangerous road sections.
